Tuesday, September 22, 2026 - Presley Gerber, the son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, has died at 27.
He died on September 20 at a rehabilitation facility in California, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner records. His family confirmed the death and asked for privacy as they mourn.
The news comes weeks after his sister, model and actress Kaia Gerber, spoke publicly about her brother’s long-running struggle with drug addiction. In a September 2026 Vogue interview, Kaia described it as a decade-long struggle and said Presley’s openness about his difficulties had changed how the family dealt with them.
Presley had also spoken publicly about depression, mental health and substance-use problems, including his efforts to seek treatment.
Authorities are still determining the exact cause of death. Police are investigating it as a suspected overdose, while the medical examiner has said further testing is required before a final determination can be made.
Presley, who entered modeling as a teenager and worked with major fashion brands, had increasingly used his public platform to discuss mental health and recovery. His death has now drawn renewed attention to the difficult reality of addiction and the importance of seeking support.
