Saturday, September 26, 2026 -New reports about Dolly Parton’s family and her manager’s struggles since
her death has emerged.
After late Country music star, Dolly Parton’s longtime manager, Danny
Nozell, filed a lawsuit against her nephew, alleging he tried to extort money
and made deadly threats, a new report by Page Six says insiders fear that
Nozell may have ulterior motives for the court action.
“He wants the family out of the picture, and wants to turn her house into
Graceland,” a source alleged.
The insider said that Nozell and Parton made a good business team, but she
was the moral compass.
“Danny doesn’t have the heart that Dolly did,” they added.
The legal battle comes after Parton’s nephew and longtime head of
security, Bryan Seaver, was relieved of his post at the late country icon's
estate. New security teams were immediately put in place at Parton’s main home
in Nashville, Tennessee, as well as her downtown residence, museum, and
warehouse.
Seaver said he and his team were “dismayed by the unexpected and, so far,
unexplained actions” taken since the singer passed away.
“We remain unshakably resolved to
fulfill Parton’s final directive to protect her family, and we refuse to be
intimidated by those whose actions we believe are being taken in bad faith and
with the intent to profit from the life of someone who willingly gave so much,”
Seaver said
Things escalated further when Nozell filed a lawsuit seeking a restraining
order against Seaver. The suit claims Seaver tried to extort him and issued
threats for weeks leading up to Parton’s death.
According to court documents, messages sent by Seaver included statements such as: “All I do is warfare… everyone needs to be worried what I might do” and “Her money better be bigger than I can make elsewhere or I’m going to f–k everyone. I am about to become the hand of retribution for my entire family.”
Defending the messages, Seaver stated: “Nothing in this lawsuit were threats and most of the comments I stand by. I was talking frankly in a private way with Danny who I thought was my friend and he fancies himself a gangster. A lot of these messages are two guys having rage talk and crying on the phone together while we were grieving.”
Parton’s sisters, Freida and Stella Parton, have since spoken out in
defense of their nephew.
In a social media post, Freida stated: “No one among the Parton/Owens
family is fighting over Dolly’s estate. We all love Bryan, just as we all love
each other.”
Stella also shared on Facebook: “All families have the same struggles
since we are all living in this world having a human experience. We are still
intact and moving forward because our children and grandchildren look to us for
strength and guidance during this difficult time of loss and confusion for them
as well.”
Dolly Parton passed away at the age of 80 on 25 August following a brief
battle with cancer. Neither Nozell nor estate representatives have issued
further comments on the allegations.
