Wednesday, September 30, 2026 - A mother has been accused of k!lling her 10-month-old child with morphine in South Carolina, U.S.
The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office said 34-year-old
Tynisha Lashae Jones was charged with murder/homicide by child abuse on Friday,
September 25, 2026.
She remains at the Anderson County Detention Center
after her bond was denied.
Officials said the investigation began on Dec. 12, 2025,
after detectives were called to AnMed Medical Center for an infant d3ath.
Detectives interviewed Jones and conducted a search warrant
of the home.
Deputies said that several months later, lab results showed
a high dose of morphine in the baby’s blood, and the death was ruled a
homicide.
After a review of evidence and medical records, Jones was
determined to be responsible for giving morphine to her child, according to
officials.
