Monday, September 28, 2026 - Jamie Oliver has reportedly been dropped from an upcoming Gordon Ramsay-backed BBC series after Marco Pierre White claimed producers offered to remove Oliver from the project to secure his participation.
The three-part series, The Rise of the Rockstar Chef, explores the careers and rivalries of Ramsay, Pierre White and Heston Blumenthal. According to Pierre White, he initially declined the programme before producers asked whether he would take part if Oliver was removed.
Pierre White made the claim while discussing the programme and his decision to participate. He said producers approached him about the project and later offered the change involving Oliver.
Oliver has previously spoken publicly about his difficult relationship with Pierre White, describing him as a former hero while acknowledging that the two have never had a close relationship. Oliver has also said that he and Ramsay are currently friends.
The development adds another layer of tension ahead of the BBC series, which is expected to revisit the intense rivalries and dramatic moments surrounding some of British television’s most recognisable chefs.
The programme is produced by Gordon Ramsay’s Studio Ramsay Global and will bring Ramsay, Pierre White and Blumenthal together on screen, while Oliver will not feature in the series.
